Job Description
We're looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our Cyber Security team as a Degree Apprentice. Over the course of your apprenticeship, you’ll work towards a recognised BSc (Hons) Degree in Cyber Security, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of the cybersecurity function at Wavenet.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from industry experts, gain practical experience in a real-world security operations environment, and earn while you study.

What You Will Be Doing
* Supporting the Cyber Security team in monitoring, detecting, and responding to threats across Wavenet systems and customer environments
* Assisting in vulnerability assessments, patch management, and security audits
* Helping to maintain and improve incident response procedures and documentation
* Collaborating with teams across the business to strengthen our security posture
* Participating in internal training sessions and contributing to security awareness across the business
* Using industry tools and platforms to analyse logs, traffic and potential threats
* Managing day-to-day tasks in line with the academic elements of your degree course
Qualifications
* A passion for technology and cyber security
* Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to stay organised and work to deadlines
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above
* A-levels (or equivalent Level 3 qualifications), preferably including a STEM subject
* Eligibility to work in the UK and meet apprenticeship entry requirements for the degree provider
