About the Role
The supply chain assistant will assist the supply chain team to ensure the optimum product availability to meet the sales demands. They will support the Category Management team to build strong supplier relationships to help grow the business. Ensure accurate process, lead times and supplier performance levels are to agreed KPI's and are in line with Supplier Trade Agreements. Building relationships between the internal teams is key to ensure a complete overview and responsibility of stock
About the Accountabilities
Take ownership for ordering stock from portfolio of suppliers to ensure a consistently high level of stock availability for customers
Manage the supplier relationships with direct communication via the phone, online conferencing and email
Work with the Planning Manager to monitor and analyse sales and data to optimise stock levels and avoid over stock
Management of invoice queries and purchase orders to agreed KPI's
Communicate with the Category Management team on stock and supplier issues
Work closely with the DC team to reduce delivery quires and non-conformances
Support the wider business strategy on stock
About You - Essential
Well-organised individual with a flexible approach to work
Self-motivated and enthusiastic, capable of prioritising multiple tasks set
Able to work on own their initiative and as an effective team worker
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About You - Desirable
Proven organisational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
Previous purchasing and SAP experience
