Main Duties
The successful candidate will line‑manage and supervise all registered nurses, healthcare support workers and nurse practitioners. They must communicate effectively, solve problems, work under pressure and deliver patient‑focused care. The role involves caring for patients in an assessment setting, managing a range of medical conditions and mental illness, ensuring standards of care and compliance with all relevant policies.
Close collaboration with the Senior Nurse for Medicine is required to demonstrate a high standard of care in a safe, compassionate, responsive, effective and well‑led environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Clinical NHS experience in acute or emergency care settings
* Proven experience in line management or team leadership
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
* Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures related to nursing care
* Relevant training in mental health and medical assessment
