A supportive and inclusive primary school in North London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD ARP Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This role is based within a specialist Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils with ASD within a specialist ARP setting
2. Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and development
3. Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored activities
4. Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
5. Helping to create a structured, safe and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
6. Have experience working with children with ASD or additional needs
7. Be patient, empathetic and resilient
8. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Be proactive and able to use initiative
10. Team Teach or relevant SEN training is desirable (but not essential)
