JOB PURPOSE:
Within the CMCO Function, UARM reports into Global Marketing Services. UARM is part of the Global Digital Asset Management team and collaborates with other departments such as Corporate Legal, Company Secretariat, ETS workplace services, and Global Marketing.
UARM curates and collects Unilever’s history, ensures compliance with Data Retention Standards, and connects the business with its historical digital content. Based in Port Sunlight, the team comprises professional and administrative staff.
UARM manages extensive digital content of long-term value, aiming to expand digital archives and support future exploration of Unilever’s history and brands. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our digital future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support the Global Head of UARM with advocacy, strategy, and policy development related to Digital Preservation.
* Lead ingestion processes for born-digital and digitized content from systems like SharePoint.
* Oversee digitization and migration of Audio Visual materials.
* Manage daily operations of the Digital Archive System – Preservica.
* Act as the primary contact with vendors.
* Review systems for upgrades, updates, testing, and team communication.
* Create and maintain manuals and training materials for the UARM team.
* Conduct monthly audits and produce statistics for the Senior Leadership Team, including system logs review.
* Supervise staff working on Digital Preservation projects.
* Represent UARM in the Digital Preservation Community and research best practices.
* Develop project proposals and budgets for Digital Preservation and Digitization initiatives.
* Perform annual assessments such as the DPC Rapid Assessment Model and NDSA Audit.
* Identify continuous improvements in Digital Preservation management, including tools for social media and website archiving.
* Support the development of UARM’s public interface and Digital Rewire programme.
* Advocate for Digital Preservation and foster collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
