We are seeking a Franchise Development Manager for a Grounds Maintenance company that operates across multiple sectors from over 46 locations within the UK. The company employs over 600 staff and services more than 10,000 sites annually.
Offering a salary between £52,000 and £54,000 per year, plus a bonus of £5,000 for meeting targets (pro-rata for 2025), with uncapped earnings of £1,000 for every additional £200,000 in sales above the territory target. As the Franchise Development Manager, you will join an experienced team supporting the growth of both the company franchise and the franchisee network. Your role involves analyzing sales and financial performance, advising, motivating, and training franchise owners and staff to expand their businesses. You will monitor KPIs, produce reports, and support the franchise network through 80% travel across an area from South Birmingham to Crewe, Nottingham, and Norfolk.
Candidates should have grounds maintenance and/or landscape services experience, be contract and commercially aware, with strong business development skills and operational management understanding. This role suits individuals who have held senior roles in operations, contracts, sales, or management within grounds maintenance or landscape services, or who have owned a grounds maintenance business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the link between franchisees and Head Office.
* Ensuring franchisees operate correctly.
* Supporting growth and development of the franchise network.
* Assisting in day-to-day management and development tasks.
* Analyzing sales and financial data to advise and train franchisees.
* Monitoring KPIs, producing reports, and sharing insights.
* Supporting franchisees in customer appointments and business planning.
* Providing training on systems and processes.
* Mentoring franchisees, supporting field training, and developing growth strategies.
Minimum requirements:
* Grounds maintenance and/or landscape services experience (essential, non-negotiable).
* Experience in senior operations, contracts, business development, sales, or regional management, or ownership of a grounds maintenance business.
* Residing within the area covered (Birmingham to Crewe, Nottingham, Norfolk) and willing to travel 80% of the time.
