Hours: 2 on 4 off shift pattern with sleep in duties attached when required
Associated Wellbeing is a private organisation that offers high quality residential care to children and young people with emotional and behaviour difficulties. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic senior support workers who hold strong communication skills with both children, staff and professionals. You must be dedicated in supporting children and young people in our care.
Job Title – Children's Team Leader Residential
Minimum of one year experience working in an OFSTED regulated Children's Home
Job Purpose
To work as part of the team in the provision of care and support services with behaviours that may challenge; which aims to maximise the potential of individuals in line with ordinary life principles. As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will also need to be proactive in completing regular supervisions with staff and set a leading example of good practice.
Skills/ Abilities
Required
* Assist the Managers in the implementation of the philosophies and policies of the organisation.
* Assist the Managers in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning.
* Review and monitor care plans. /contribute to review reports as directed
* Ability to demonstrate commitment to the staff teams, children, and the service in order to be part of a team that delivers high quality outcomes
* A proven ability to work on own initiative and to work as part of a team.
* Ability to lead and manage teams and complete supervisions
* Have some knowledge and understanding of issues relating to people with emotional and challenging behaviours.

Essential
* Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations
* Have at least one years' worth of experience as a Residential Support Worker (working in an OFSTED regulated setting)
* Significant progress made on Level 3 /4 Diploma in the Children and Young People's Workforce
Desired
* Full UK Manual Driving License
* Experience as Children's Key Worker
* Level 3 /4 Diploma in the Children and Young People's Workforce
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
· To provide a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment in which children can thrive, achieve, feel safe, secure, and live free from harm
· To ensure and promote the safe care and safeguarding of all children
· To work in line with Associated Wellbeing's ethos and values, best practices, and National Care Standards
· To work with young people to assist them to understand previous life experiences, responding appropriately to ensure mental health needs are met

· To encourage and support children to make links within the community, and to expand their social network
· To attend and contribute to weekly house meetings with children
· To be able to work with groups of children in a 'domestic' setting to ensure that their needs are met collectively and individually
· To hold regular supervisions with staff and be proactive in ensuring that staff are following good practice with the young people/ children within our care
· To be competent in completing and evidencing daily records, key work sessions, incident reports and other relevant documentation
