The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a range of UK-wide development projects across a REIT asset portfolio. The role is based in the Glasgow office and will report directly to the Managing Director of Development. The focus of the role is on pre-construction activities through to the delivery of appropriate planning consents, supporting the wider goal of enhancing asset value across the portfolio.
You will be part of a successful, small and very driven team providing a Development Management service to the REIT client
This role is initially offered on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity based on business needs and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Liaise with internal Asset and Property Management teams to ensure project alignment with asset strategies.
* Procure and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultant teams, including design and planning disciplines.
* Manage feasibility studies, including commissioning necessary surveys and preparing associated budget cost reports.
* Work alongside legal advisors to resolve title and associated legal matters relevant to development.
* Produce and monitor project programmes to ensure alignment with lease events and other key milestones.
* Manage planning processes appropriate to each project, including Pre-Application discussions, Proposal of Application Notices (PoAN), Planning Permission in Principle (PPiP), and detailed planning applications.
* Arrange supporting surveys and compile technical and planning documentation as required.
* Liaise with stakeholders and statutory bodies to support the progression of planning applications.
* Prepare and issue monthly progress reports for internal and client use.
* Collate and manage dataroom documentation to support project due diligence and governance.
* Professional qualification required: MRICS, MAPM, or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in a client-side project management role.
* Demonstrable experience in pre-construction project coordination, planning applications, and consultant team management.
* Strong understanding of planning legislation and development processes across the UK.
* Competence in project programming, budget management, and reporting.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.
* Must hold a full UK driving licence.
* Car ownership required due to the national remit of the role.
* Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
* Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of working with commercial property and residential developments
