As a Care Assistant, you will for example:
* Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice
* Assist with preparing residents for bed and/or assist them in the morning
* Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet
* Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment
* Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence
* Administer medication (once trained) as required
* Assist in the care of residents who are unwell or dying
* Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care - Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

* An understanding of the needs of residents (Essential)

* Ability to provide personal care in a dignified manner (Essential)
* Ability to carry out basic cleaning duties (Essential)

* Ability to demonstrate a genuine desire to deliver care (Essential)
* Ability to approach work with a flexible attitude, open to taking on new challenges (Essential)
* Ability to work under difficult circumstances e.g. coping with an ill or dying resident (Essential)
* Ability to react quickly in an emergency (Essential)
* Ability to demonstrate understanding and apply our workplace values (Essential)
* Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Diploma in Care Level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
* Experience of providing care (Desirable)
* Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
