ASC Workforce Coordinator (Internal Workforce Bank)

Secondment, Full Time

£28,115 up to £33,076 per annum

Location: Chelmsford

Working Style: Anywhere worker

Please note this vacancy is available as a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment opportunity up to 31st March 2028.

This position has been classed as an anywhere worker role but an expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office, in Chelmsford 2-3 days per week, with remaining time for remote working if desired.

The Internal Workforce Bank (IWB) is an “additional hours via bank” model, enabling employees to undertake and be reimbursed for additional work tasks outside their normal working hours. The approach is designed to help ASC better manage demand, improve performance, and provide a sustainable solution ahead of Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).

The primary focus is on managing increased demand and improving our people waiting performance, but consideration will also be given to seasonal pressures, risk mitigation, and emerging operational needs.


The Role

Seeking a dynamic and highly organised individual to support a Team Manager in this exciting new initiative. The successful candidate will have exceptional Mosaic and Excel skills and be highly organised. This role will involve supporting with the oversight of processes and workflows and support with gathering data and reporting on performance.

You will be supporting a Team Manager to:

* Oversee and manage all activity allocated through the IWB.
* Support to verify suitability of workers requesting to join the IWB (ensuring the exclusion criteria has been considered).
* Maintain processes and workflows, having oversight of performance and data.
* Support to log complaints and other feedback from service users in accordance with policy.


Accountabilities

Utilise skills in processing significant amounts of data to ensure detailed reports will be of a high quality and can be relied upon to be accurate. Detail and accuracy will be critical in ensuring the quality of outcomes. This requires diligence and a methodical approach to ensure standards are maintained and timescales met.


The Experience You Will Bring

* Educated to GCSE level with an NVQ, Level 3 in Customer Service or equivalent by experience. Evidence of continuing professional development with understanding and knowledge in relevant professional area.
* Experience of using IT systems, particularly MS applications including Excel.
* Experience of utilising a variety of information sources to undertake research and gather relevant information.
* Planned and organised approach and works well in a team environment.
* Experience of working within a local authority or other social care setting.
* Good communication and numeracy skills and evidence of problem solving.
* Able to liaise and communicate effectively with colleagues as well as other agencies and organisations.
