Job Overview
As Accounts Semi Senior you'll be working with a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting tasks and client types whilst developing your skills in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
* Preparing bank reconciliations, fixed asset registers, payroll reconciliations, and other supporting schedules.
* Producing trial balances and financial statements with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Handling VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and personal tax returns.
* Inputting and managing financial data to support smooth workflow and compliance.
* Collaborating with colleagues and receiving support where needed, with your work reviewed to ensure quality and consistency.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant accountancy practice (preferably ICAEW/ACCA registered).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word, Sage, Xero, and Taxcalc (accounts, tax, and practice management).
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Professional, polite, and punctual.
* Comfortable working with figures and committed to continuous learning.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Conscientious and proactive approach.
