Senior Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support) at INSTANTiMMO. The service is based in Wythenshawe, Manchester, working in partnership with the City of Manchester Local Authority, with successful candidates working across North, Central and South Manchester. The role involves first line management of a team of Community Support Workers, developing capability, mentoring staff, and supporting their ongoing development. The service aims to deliver intensive, therapeutic overnight stays and outreach support to improve outcomes for children and young people, including those on the Autistic Spectrum and with other learning disabilities.
Salary: £29,108 (£14.93 per hour). Weekend rate paid at 25% premium. Sleep-in shift: £100.80 per sleep-in shift. The service will be dual registered OFSTED and CQC.
Responsibilities
 * Provide first line management to a team of Community Support Workers (Positive Behaviour Support)
 * Develop staff capability through modeling values and behaviours, mentoring, and supporting ongoing development
 * Work alongside families and multi-agencies to deliver high standards of care and support
 * Facilitate formal Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and coaching with qualified behavioural specialists
 * Ensure the service meets Ofsted children’s home regulations and current legislation
 * Contribute to the development of respite care services for families in the Manchester City Council Local Authority area
 * Promote improved outcomes for children and young people, including stabilising behaviours, improving quality of life, enabling participation in activities, and developing daily living and self-care skills
What can you bring to the service?
 * QCF Level 3 or 4 in Children, Families & Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent QCF and experience within OFSTED-registered services
 * Experience coaching staff and nurturing team development
 * Extensive experience working with children with learning disabilities and autism
 * Ability to manage difficult and challenging situations while maintaining high standards of care
 * Ability to make a direct positive impact on the lives of children and their families

This service is regulated by Ofsted; all employees must be over 22 years at the time of joining. Safeguarding checks, including Enhanced DBS checks, will be undertaken for successful candidates.
