Part-time Shipping Officer wanted for a busy auction house in the heart of Bury St Edmunds.
Lacy Scott & Knight Auction Centre are looking for a part-time Shipping Officer to manage their postage department. Duties to include but not limited to:
· Providing shipping and packing quotes depending on the size and weight of the item(s), insurance and destination.
· Securely packing and labelling often valuable and fragile items.
· Arranging the collection and dispatch of auction lots using dedicated software.
· Updating clients invoice details and notifying them upon dispatch.
· Dealing with any shipping issues which may arise after dispatch.
Hours to comprise approx. 20 hours per week (days and times to be discussed). Extra hours available during busy periods. The successful candidate will need to be happy to learn auction and shipping specific software. Strong attention to detail is essential. Full training will be given.
