The unit is a fast‑paced, changing environment with referrals from primary care, emergency department, urgent care, midwives and health visitors, as well as families who self‑refer. Each day is different, offering an ideal opportunity to learn and develop new skills. No previous experience in an assessment unit is required as full training will be given, including training on the Manchester Triage system.
