About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will also help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events. You will support residents in socialising, develop new activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve the care team – always with a sense of kindness above all else.
Responsibilities
• Plan and implement activity programmes for residents.
• Organise and manage fundraising events with the Home Manager.
• Encourage and support residents to develop confidence in socialising.
• Work with residents’ hobbies to create engaging activities.
• Coordinate with the care home team to involve them in activities.
• Manage time effectively and maintain positive communication with residents and co‑workers.
Qualifications
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
• Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills.
• Positive energy, ability to get along with people, and considerate communication.
• Full right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available.
Safeguarding
Your role requires you to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role and undertake additional training in related areas. You must be able to seek advice, report concerns, and, if necessary, escalates concerns when action is not taken.
