Weempowering innovation to bridge physical and digital worlds, accelerate our customerssuccess and positively impact people and planet.What Are We Looking For?the Platform Characterisation team we develop models that describe electrical behaviour at the device level within our FlexICs. This involves electrical characterisation, generation of appropriate models and their release. As an Intern in the platform characterisation team you will contribute to this process and, in particular, perform finite element analysis of the temperature rise due to Joule heating in the electrically conducting layers within our FlexIC. No prior experience with finite element modelling is required.Key tasksUse a finite element package to determine Joule heating effects in our FlexIC traces.Support the thermal modelling with analytic calculations.Summarise this work in a written report.Present outcomes to relevant stakeholders within Pragmatic.What will you be studying now?Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masterdegree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.What would make you stand out from the crowd? good understanding of device and thermal physics. Familiarity with data manipulation and curve fitting e.g. in Python. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
