We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspiring Associate Assistant Principal to join our senior leadership team at Staffordshire University Academy. The successful candidate will play a key strategic and operational role in developing an outstanding holistic provision for all students. They will champion high aspirations for all as part of student wellbeing whilst supporting and promoting student engagement. If successful, you will strategically lead the personal development agenda including our CHARACTER, SMSC, PHSE and RSE curriculum, sixth form, careers, extracurricular activities and educational visits as well as student leadership across the academy. Whilst subject specialism is less of a priority, we are determined to appoint the right leader – someone who will drive excellence, empower colleagues and make a measurable difference for our students.

Purpose of the post:
• To lead the development of a positive culture of personal development across the academy as a member of the senior leadership team
• To take strategic leadership of areas of responsibility agreed through this
• To contribute to the academy’s vision so that we can enable every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to be healthy, stay safe and ‘Aspire, Believe and Achieve!
• To make a positive contribution and enable positive outcomes through a drive for consistent practice across the academy
• To instil, in all students, a sense of belonging and aspiring to achieve
