Overview
The Anticoagulation Assistant practitioner will coordinate and support the anticoagulation team to ensure excellent service is provided to all patients and service users. Key areas of responsibility include assisting in the smooth running of the Anticoagulation clinic, including point of care (POC) near testing for patients, and providing administrative support. The post holder should have a confident and professional attitude, good telephone manner, word processing skills and be able to use/learn clinical programmes (RAID/DAWN, Cerner). They must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate and support the anticoagulation team to ensure excellent patient service.
* Assist in the smooth running of the Anticoagulation clinic, including point of care near testing for patients.
* Provide administrative support and be adept with word processing and clinical programmes (RAID/DAWN, Cerner).
* Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
