Residential Property Lawyer
* Are you an Associate or Senior Associate in Residential Conveyancing, with a following and/or strong links with agents?
* Are you interested in joining an established Residential Property team in Canterbury, who embrace the latest technology to provide the most efficient and effective conveyancing service?
* Do you want to join a leading regional firm, who has the backing of a national group, dedicated to delivering comprehensive legal support and committed to ambitious growth?
* Do you like the sound of a highly competitive benefits package, discretionary bonus scheme, hybrid working opportunities, social events and much more?
Clients are at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on our personal approach to handling cases. This role will give you the opportunity to undertake good quality work and develop your career within a highly reputable legal practice. We're looking for a qualified legal professional with a following and/or strong links with agents to join our Canterbury team, but there will also be opportunity to attend our head office in Maidstone. You will need to be confident in generating and managing your own caseload from inception to completion, as a technically strong fee earner who wishes to contribute to the team's organic growth.
The team currently consists of 3 support staff and 7 legal advisors (including Solicitors, Legal Executives, Conveyancers and Paralegals). The team is led by Sara Smith, and you will be expected to work with your colleagues, as well as independently, dealing with a range of interesting work and clients.
You must be able to demonstrate competence in handling residential conveyancing matters independently with minimal supervision; whilst also being willing to contribute and collaborate to ensure the success of the team. You will need to be able to prioritise your workload to ensure the delivery of excellent client services and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding agreed goals/targets. Strong IT literacy and experience of using case management systems would be also an advantage. We're open to any qualification route, if you have a good knowledge of conveyancing with some experience of working on more complex matters. Any experience in plot sales, development work and new builds may also be an advantage.
