The Job
With a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and supporting healthcare professionals, our client offers a portfolio of fungal diagnostics. As a Technical Sales Specialist for the UK and Ireland, you will serve as the sales and primary technical support for our fungal diagnostic products. You will play a key role in driving product sales and supporting clinical laboratories and healthcare providers through training, troubleshooting, implementation, and on-going support.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Drive sales by identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals across the territory.
* Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
* Deliver on-site and remote training to laboratory personnel and clinicians.
* Support customers during product installation, validation, and routine use.
* Build strong relationships with laboratory managers, microbiologists, and infectious disease specialists.
* Provide feedback from the field on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.
* Attend and exhibit at tradeshows, conferences and events within the territory.
Qualifications
Required:
* BSc or MSc in Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
* Full UK Driver’s License.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to travel extensively within the UK (up to 60%) and Ireland (10%)
Preferred:
* Experience with fungal diagnostic products or fungal biomarker assays is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with antigen and/or molecular testing is preferred.
* 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic applications role is strongly preferred.
Package
Basic: £35,000-£42,000 + 20% OTE
Package: Laptop + Mobile Phone
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
UK mileage: 10k mi @ £0.45 + additional @ £0.25 per mile
