Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking dynamic and friendly individuals to join an amazing school as SEN Teaching Assistants in the Bury St Edmonds Area. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in improving outcomes and life experiences for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Working as part of a class-based team, you will bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to the role, alongside resilience and a significant sense of fun.
What will you be doing?
3. Facilitate access to learning for SEND pupils across the school.
4. Support teaching and learning, working with small groups and one-to-one as required.
5. Implement therapeutic approaches, where play is a key component.
6. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
7. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What do we expect from you?
8. Previous experience in a similar school-based role as a Teaching or Classroom Assistant.
9. Passion for working with children with SEND and a commitment to their holistic development.
10. Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative approach to supporting learning.
