Behaviour and Engagement Coordinator – Durham Supply work across secondary schools | 8:30 to 16:00 | ASAP start Teaching Personnel has Behaviour and Engagement Coordinator roles across secondary schools in Durham on a supply basis. If you've got senior pastoral experience and you're comfortable leading behaviour strategy (not just managing individual incidents), this could work. What the role involves: You're creating and maintaining behaviour systems across the school. Leading staff on interventions, mentoring students 1:1, being a visible presence around site to support staff when behaviour escalates, running rewards schemes, and coordinating community outreach programmes. It's strategic and hands on at the same time. You'll need: Proven experience leading pastoral or behaviour teams in schools Track record of setting and maintaining behavioural expectations across a student body Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding, and GDPR Strong communication skills (you're leading staff, not just working with students) Understanding of behaviour interventions (zones of regulation or similar) Ability to work across different teams and be adaptable Who we’re looking for: Senior TAs, pastoral leads, behaviour leads, or similar who want supply flexibility rather than permanent commitment. You need to be able to walk into different schools and establish credibility quickly. That means experience and confidence, not just enthusiasm.
