Overview
Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment is sourcing a Group Consolidation Accountant for an international energy services business, based in Aberdeen City Centre with hybrid and flexible working. The role is responsible for owning the Group’s consolidation process, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation and reporting of intercompany and central services accounts and maintaining the integrity of consolidated financial results.
Responsibilities
* Perform the Group consolidation on a monthly basis, in-line with the Group Reporting timetable.
* Review OpCo management accounts to ensure the completeness and accuracy of reporting inputs.
* Run the intercompany matrix to ensure all intercompany balances are consistent across all entities and address and close out any imbalances in a timely manner.
* Document and post all consolidation and elimination journals.
* Provide support to the Reporting Accountant for monthly management and board reporting outputs, including supporting analysis.
* Maintain accurate records for the Riverside holding companies, ensuring completeness and compliance with Group accounting policies.
* Oversee and review accounting performed by the Group Finance Assistant.
* Maintain and update the Group loan register, ensuring all transactions and balances are accurately recorded.
* Monthly review of central services management charges, ensuring their completeness and that all variances vs budget are understood.
* Identify and implement enhancements to consolidation processes, intercompany reconciliations, and reporting systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAS, or CIMA preferred) with strong consolidation and technical accounting experience.
* Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred.
* Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
