Our Adapt team is expanding globally and this will be our first role in Amazon Ads Japan. Unlike other teams, employees in Adapt are agile, rotating around teams on assignments to address business critical needs. Individuals on the team benefit from exposure to many different teams and roles within Amazon Ads, accelerating their learning and development.



Key job responsibilities:

Adapt is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Japan team. This role will be highly agile and fungible, rotating around our Ads teams in Japan on specific assignments to help cover individuals who are taking an extended leave-of-absence (parental, sabbatical, medical). By rotating around a variety of sales verticals and teams, individuals on the Adapt team experience rapid learning and development. Business fluency language skills across Japanese and English will be essential. You will be expected to:

1. Provide seamless sales support, ensuring continuity and effectiveness in sales operations, while driving revenue across Amazon Ads as a Sr. Account Executive.
2. Generate advertising revenue via ad agencies and advertisers directly, through objective led selling across Streaming TV and other brand-building advertising solutions.
3. Be a true hunter, hungry to uncover opportunities and connect it with a value adding solution.
4. Influence buying decisions to drive increased revenue from existing advertisers as well as new revenue streams.
5. Establish credible relationships with agencies and advertiser decision makers, in particular in the TV and Digital landscape.



About the team

Amazon Adapt is a program designed to offer coverage solutions for business gaps which may occur due to extended leave (parental, medical) and unexpected account transitions or gaps in business needs. Amazon Adapt deploys highly skilled, hyper-agile talent that ensures customers can continue to invest in their partnerships with Amazon Advertising, uninterrupted. The program ensures that the high bar for customer service, strategic partnership, and revenue attainment is maintained during these coverage gaps.


This role can be hired as a remote role.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Language skills across Japanese and English.
2. Experience with TV/STV/Video solutions on sales/agency/client side.
3. Strong knowledge of the Video industry landscape.
4. Experience building client and agency relationships.
5. Experience closing sales and revenue generation.
6. Experience of e-commerce.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
2. Strong track record of high level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management.
