The successful candidate will have strong 3D CAD experience, a practical understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes, and the ability to deliver innovative engineering solutions.Mechanical Design Engineer Permanent positionSalary: £38,000 – £45,000 (DOE)Monday to FridayWarwickMechanical Design Engineer Job Description • Design and develop sheet metal components, fabricated assemblies, and automation machinery• Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks• Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective• Support projects from concept through to manufacture and installation• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards and specifications• Liaise with internal departments and customers to meet project requirements and deadlines• Support continuous improvement initiatives and product development activities• Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly stagesMechanical Design Engineer Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and automation equipment design• Good understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Strong problem-solving and communication skills• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline• Full UK driving licence (desirable) If you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply’.
