CNC Turner
đLocation: Poole
CNC Turner Salary: ÂŁ35,000 â ÂŁ46,000
Two shifts available â one for days and one for nights
This isnât a trainee role or a chance to âlearn on the jobâ. We need skilled CNC Turners who can hit the ground running on Fanuc or Mazak lathes
Weâre working with a long-established precision engineering company that needs two skilled CNC Turners to join the team. One role is on the day shift, the other on nights. Both involve working on modern CNC lathes, producing small to medium batch runs where quality matters more than speed.
So what will you actually be doing as a CNC Turner?
Setting and operating CNC lathes (Fanuc or Mazak controls are the norm here).
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings without breaking a sweat.
Choosing and swapping tooling, setting offsets, and proving out programs.
Carrying out your own first-off inspections and keeping everything within tolerance.
Feeding back on setup and run times to help make processes smoother.
Keeping safety, quality, and maintenance front of mind. What weâre looking for in a CNC Turner:
Previous CNC turning experience, ideally with multi-axis lathes.
Confidence with Fanuc or Mazak controls.
A keen eye for detail, and pride in making parts right first time.
If youâve done a bit of CNC Milling too, thatâs a bonus but not essential.
Whatâs in it for you?
Salary up to ÂŁ46k depending on shift and experience.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Excellent pension scheme.
Death in service cover.
Dental cover.
And the kind of steady, well-structured environment where engineers want to stay.
