Job Summary
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team at a warm and welcoming Residential home in Redditch. This full-time role is perfect for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and has the confidence to lead by example.
You ll be working day shifts, providing hands-on care and supporting the daily running of the home while leading a team of care assistants. If you're passionate about caring for others and have experience administering medication and overseeing care plans, we d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering high standards of personal and emotional care to residents
* Supporting residents with daily activities and promoting independence
* Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
* Leading and supporting care staff during shifts
* Completing accurate care records and documentation
* Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
* Supporting the Nurse or Home Manager with care planning and daily operations
* Ensuring a safe, clean, and dignified environment for all residents
Requirements
Essential:
* Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader in a residential or nursing home
* Confident and experienced in medication handling and administration
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Reliable, responsible, and calm under pressure
Desirable:
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
* Knowledge of CQC standards and care planning
