Equi-Trek are the largest producer of horseboxes and trailers in the UK and the only British company to manufacture a complete range of horse transport from lightweight, towable trailers up to 26 tonne motorised horseboxes for over 10 horses.

Role Purpose
The HR Advisor will provide proactive and professional HR support to managers and employees across the business. Acting as the first point of contact for operational HR matters, the role will ensure best practice, legal compliance, and alignment with company policies. You will play a key role in employee relations, recruitment, policy development, and supporting organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate advice.
* Advise and support managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and performance management.
* Coach and upskill line managers to handle people matters confidently and consistently.
* Conduct end-to-end recruitment processes: drafting job descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
* Maintain and update HR systems and employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
* Contribute to HR projects such as policy reviews, engagement initiatives, and wellbeing programmes.
* Monitor absence and support return-to-work processes, escalating patterns or issues as appropriate.
* Support annual HR cycles such as performance reviews, pay reviews, and learning & development planning.
* Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies, keeping up to date with legislative changes.
* Provide HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
* Proven HR generalist experience in a fast-paced environment (ideally manufacturing, logistics, or similar).
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience advising and guiding managers on employee relations issues.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
Desirable:
* Exposure to change management or organisational development initiatives.
* Knowledge of health & safety considerations in a manufacturing setting.

The hours of work are 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday
