As a Senior IT Engineer you will provide IT support to Trust staff and staff from external organisations such as the North Lancashire and South Cumbria GP population.
The work will be challenging but it is an opportunity to put your knowledge and skills to work in a rewarding public service. You will gain valuable experience working in an environment where IT is considered central to the delivery of good patient care. This belief is clearly evident in the significant investment made in the I3 service to support the Trust-wide implementation of our ePR and associated technologies. You will work as a member of a technical team to provide critical support to staff across departments on issues relating to software, hardware and networking and support key implementation projects. You will be a self-starter and be able to manage your own workload but also work as a team member to meet SLA targets.
The post holder will provide general IT support to the Morecambe Bay Health Community; Acute Trust and Primary Care, as directed by the IT Operations Manager.
Main duties include
* Implementation and support of computing devices, associated software and peripheral devices
* Managing the effective and efficient response to, and resolution of, IT incidents and requests
* Provision of technical and operational support to projects
* Participate in the IT on‑call rota providing out of hours IT support
It is essential that the post holder has experience of providing IT support to a large organisation, combining a high level of technical knowledge with a strong customer focus.
The post holder must be prepared to travel at short notice to other supported sites – so a full driving licence is required.
