Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a high-quality, research-informed casework service within the Children's Safeguarding Team.
* Support families and children through assessment, intervention, and multi-agency collaboration.
* Advise and consult with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams on safeguarding issues and social care best practices.
* Deliver training, consultation, and supervision to junior staff and student social workers, as directed by the Senior Practitioner.
* Manage complex caseloads effectively, responding to referrals and delivering child-centred interventions.
* Lead or contribute to holistic assessments, taking into account the influence of diversity, cultural values, and human rights.
* Maintain accurate case records and contribute to data systems to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (or equivalent UK-recognised body).
* Substantial experience within children's safeguarding or child protection.
* Strong understanding of legislative frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and multi-agency working.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit, collaborative team.
