A distinguished UK-based mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracting business is seeking a Major Projects Director to lead its most significant and complex projects.
This is a critical leadership role for an individual with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, intricate multi million pounds projects/packages within the industry.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the full project lifecycle of major contracts. This includes:
* Strategic Oversight: Providing strategic direction and leadership for all major projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Project Delivery: Directly managing the execution of complex piping, electrical, and full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
* Team Leadership: Building, mentoring, and leading high-performing project teams to ensure operational excellence and successful project outcomes.
* Client & Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
The Person:
The company is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional.
* Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, with a demonstrable history of successfully delivering complex piping, electrical, and EPC projects or contracts.
* A deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, project management principles, and industry best practices.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and drive results.
* Strong commercial awareness and a strategic mindset to navigate and resolve challenges inherent in major projects.
