Overview
The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary / multiagency team, the post holder will manage a highly specialist or complex caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan and implement care, provide expert advice and support, operating within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire.
The post holder will lead or manage the development and implementation of a programme of quality improvement, clinical audit and research activity, lead the supervision, education and development of members of the multidisciplinary team and provide effective leadership within scope of role.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Healthcare practitioner with valid UK Registration (NMC / HCPC)
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Master level
* Postgraduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality
* Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality
* Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement
* Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership
* Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
* Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative
* Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
* Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence

Preferred additional qualifications
* Master’s Degree in area of specialty / management
* Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and CPD
* Non-medical Prescriber
* Clinical Assessment Skills Module
Contract type and location
Fixed Term or Secondment until 31/03/2026. Full time or Part Time. Various hours. This is a fixed term post until 31/03/2026. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location: This role will be based in FNC+/Interface within Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters.
Working pattern: over 7 days rota.
