Durham County Council’s Procurement Team is looking for an enthusiastic Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner to help embed Social Value and sustainability in everything we do. About the Role Durham County Council is committed to responsible procurement that delivers positive Social Value. As a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner, you will work closely with the Social Value Officer and procurement team to help ensure that our contracts and suppliers contribute to the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of our local communities. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sustainability and social impact, eager to develop their skills and grow within the public sector. Your day-to-day duties include supporting the Social Value Officer in delivering the corporate social value strategy and understanding the integration of Social Value within the procurement team. You myst already hold GCSE’s in Maths and English with grades 4/C or above or a functional skills certificate at Level 2 in Maths and English.
