About the role
Are you passionate about supporting people, building trust, and delivering meaningful frontline services? Do you want a role where your work directly improves lives and strengthens communities? At Kent County Council, we're looking for Welfare Officers to join our Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) Resident Service. This unique and rewarding opportunity will be delivered over 3 days, working 5 hours per day, and you will spend time out on our sites, building relationships, understanding individuals' needs, and providing support to residents.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver a proactive frontline service, leading on Unauthorised Encampment liaison and monitoring site conditions.
* Conduct asset inspections and take water readings to ensure that our sites are maintained to the highest standards.
* Act with professionalism, empathy, and integrity while supporting residents and listening to their needs.
