Join our team as a Police Custody SARC Nurse or Paramedic at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Grantham, UK. This locum role offers shifts predominantly on 12-hour weekday nights (7pm–7am) and weekend days (7am–7pm) and nights (7pm–7am), with occasional weekday requirements. The expected salary ranges between £150 and £200 per shift, with on-call and call-out rates structured to recognise your expertise.

What you will do
* Respond to call-outs within a 60-minute timeframe with swift and sound judgment.
* Conduct thorough clinical assessments of individuals in custody and at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
* Provide medical and emotional support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault, ensuring safety and well-being.
* Perform forensic examinations and ensure accurate documentation and handling of samples.
* Collaborate with law enforcement and multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care.
* Maintain up-to-date records and reports, adhering to confidentiality and integrity standards.
Requirements
* Completed ILS training (Resus Council), venepuncture proficiency, and safeguarding adults & children level 3.
* Possession of SARC qualification is mandatory.
* Paramedics and nurses must have at least 2 years post-qualification experience, ideally with backgrounds in prison, A&E, surgical, community, or district nursing to ensure competent clinical decision-making.
* Current or recent police vetting (NPPV Level 2) is highly desirable; experienced staff can be vetted if required.
