We are recruiting for a Senior Electronics Engineer for a successful British manufacturer of USB Chargers, DC-DC voltage converters, and power supplies serving the communications, rail, automotive and marine markets. The company design and manufacture all its own products, supplying to markets across the world. Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (39 hours per week) Responsibilities: Design and develop switched-mode power supply products from the initial conception through to production. Lead and collaborate with a small cross-functional team of engineers Generate product specifications, designs, and test methods Troubleshooting faults in prototype and production units Design of production test systems for new products Estimate and deliver technical development to tight timescales Provide expertise during product roadmap development Mentor developing engineers Candidate Requirements: Degree qualified in an Electronics Engineering field 5 years experience of electronic circuit design, preferably analogue or power electronics, in a relevant industry Design power supply circuits (DC-DC, AC-DC), microcontroller-based systems, and communication interfaces Schematic design experience and some experience of PCB layout Experience of testing and debugging prototype electronic designs Experience of design for manufacturing techniques Experience of regulatory standards and approval process, EMC, LVD, etc. Ability to work independently or as part of a team as a technical lead Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills Excellent communication skills Benefits 25 days holiday plus public holidays Bonus Health insurance Enhanced pension On-site parking To apply for this position please submit an up to date CV and also please feel free to call Alan for more information about the position and the company.
