Senior Analyst (Anaplan & Cloud Apps)

Aberdeen comprises three businesses, interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients’ evolving needs:
1. interactive investor, the UK’s second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.
2. Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
3. Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.
About the department
Aberdeen’s Finance Squad sits within the Corporate Technology Office, which is responsible for managing Aberdeen's core Finance systems with Anaplan being one of its Strategic tools of choice. Aberdeen is also live with Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA) & Oracle ERP Cloud solutions (Fusion), and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). We have an exciting roadmap ahead of us to further enhance our systems architecture over the next 3 years and embed and enhance ways or working.
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst with deep expertise in Anaplan model building and strong experience in Cloud-based applications. This role will focus on designing, maintaining, and optimizing financial and operational planning models, while leveraging cloud technologies to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
4. Design, build, and optimize Anaplan models to support business planning and forecasting processes.
5. Translate business requirements into functional specifications through stakeholder collaboration.
6. Ensure model integrity, performance, and scalability across multiple business units.
7. Support ERP upgrades, patches, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
8. Manage testing activities and provide end-user training and documentation.
9. Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure successful Model implementations.
About the candidate
10. Proven experience in Anaplan model building (Level 2 or higher certification preferred).
11. Ability to understand and map end-to-end finance, procurement, and supply chain processes to system solutions.
12. Proficiency in data integration tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL)
13. Skilled in diagnosing complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and delivering data-driven solutions.
14. Experience leading cross-functional projects and engaging with stakeholders, vendors, and Oracle support.
15. Strong documentation and training capabilities, with experience mentoring junior team members.
