Job Title: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) Position Overview: Looking for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to provide high-quality CBT interventions to children and adolescents experiencing various mental health challenges within the CAMHS setting. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate individualised treatment plans based on CBT principles for children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs. - Deliver evidence-based CBT interventions to clients individually and in group settings, utilising a collaborative and client-centered approach. - Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and client satisfaction. - Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care and support to clients and their families. - Provide consultation, guidance, and support to colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of CAMHS clients. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and records in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Skills: - Master's or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, or related field. - Accredited training and certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). - Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health or CAMHS setting, with a solid understanding of developmental psychology and psychopathology. - Strong clinical assessment, formulation, and intervention skills, with the ability to tailor CBT techniques to meet the individual needs of clients. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients and their families. - Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage in effective consultation and collaboration with colleagues and other professionals. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice.
