Roles & Responsibilities
Chefs:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver nutritious meals, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
* Manage stock, order supplies, and minimise waste effectively.
* Lead and supervise kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
* Communicate effectively with kitchen assistants and other staff members.
Kitchen Assistants:
* Support chefs with meal preparation and basic food handling tasks.
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing up and sanitising surfaces.
* Assist with stock rotation and storage of ingredients.
* Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations.
* Provide general kitchen support to ensure efficient service.
* Any kitchen porter duties necessary
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment (required for both roles).
* Flexibility to work in care homes, schools, or other DBS-restricted settings.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* For Chefs: Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
* Drivers preferred but not essential
