Field Care Supervisor – Job Description What You’ll Do The role of the Field Care Supervisor is to support the delivery of the highest quality care support services by carrying out a range of functions in the field, including: Assessment & Review : Conduct initial and ongoing needs and risk assessments. Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews of service users’ needs. Carry out regular service reviews to ensure care plans remain appropriate and effective. Care Worker Supervision & Support : Shadow new care workers to assess competence and provide guidance. Perform on-site observations and evaluations of care worker practice, both routinely and in response to performance concerns. Deliver practical supervision, instruction, and support to care staff. Medication & Competency Checks : Conduct medication administration checks to ensure compliance with care plans and safety standards. Assess and document care worker competency in medication handling and other key care tasks. CQC Compliance : Maintain a strong understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and ensure all care delivery aligns with regulatory requirements. Support the implementation of best practices to meet or exceed CQC expectations. Rota Planning : Work closely with Care Coordinators to develop realistic and effective rotas, considering both service user needs and care worker skills. Work Environment Community-Based : Majority of time spent in the field conducting assessments, observations, and support. Office-Based : Includes administrative tasks such as documentation, care planning, and coordination. Qualification Level 3 Health & Social Care
