GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming and supportive school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-set lessons, and ensuring a positive and focused classroom environment. Responsibilities: • Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher. • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. • Support students with their work and encourage positive engagement. • Maintain a calm, safe, and productive learning environment. • Follow lesson plans and provide feedback to teaching staff. • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. • Strong communication and classroom management skills. • Confidence supervising classes across a range of subjects. • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work. • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
