The Role We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as Head of Public Speaking ideally for September 2025. This role is part-time, during term-time, working on average 2 to 4 hours per week during scheduled sessions both during the school day and for after school activities and events. About You As Head of Public Speaking, you will lead and inspire pupils in developing their oratory skills. You will play a central role in shaping the schools public speaking culture, preparing pupils for a wide range of internal and external speaking opportunities, and promoting confidence, creativity, and clarity in communication. You will lead afterschool group sessions each week, focusing on core public speaking skills such as speech structure, vocal delivery, debating, sight reading and persuasive techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public speaking, debating, or performance as well as experience in working with young people in an educational or co-curricular setting. You will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high levels of organisation, familiarity with administrative duties within an educational setting and a collaborative spirit, with a commitment to excellence both in and beyond the classroom.
