Department Members of the Central Admin Service team carry out a diverse range of duties to facilitate the smooth running of central professional services. Members of the team gain a unique insight into how the University operates through supporting a wide range of colleagues - from those working to support our students, to those helping to improve and develop our campus. The central PS shared administration team is organised into 3 hubs, one of which provides PA/Executive support to the University’s Senior Executive and Professional Services leadership teams, and two general administrative hubs providing general, finance and HR administrative support to central professional services directorates. Administrators are generally recruited to provide either personal or executive support to senior stakeholders, general and financial support, or HR administration activities, but may be required to work across a range of tasks or between hubs, to support peaks and troughs in work, and enable flexibility and adaptability of our services. Our Administrators have diverse roles that suit highly organised, self-motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and using their initiative. Our staff are expected to take a proactive approach, developing ways to support the team’s activities and enhance service provision for all our service users. About the Role Your work will primarily support the General/ Finance Admin function of the team. The type of work you will do will include supporting activities such as: processing expenses, arranging meetings, room bookings, parking permits, catering, travel arrangements, booking accommodation, servicing meetings, purchasing goods, raising purchase orders, raising sales invoices and offering financial support. You will also offer some specialist support for specific processes. You will work with a range of colleagues from all levels across the directorates we support. With opportunities for training, and opportunities to support across the wider team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of administration. Skills, Experience & Qualification needed Experience providing an excellent standard of service to a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers. Experience working in a busy and varied administration role in a large organisation.
