Overview
A large food manufacturer is seeking a hands on Engineering Team Leader, where you'll lead a skilled team, driving operational excellence and supporting Engineers on routine and reactive maintenance. Your role will be an experienced qualified Engineer with a background of leading an Engineering team, confident in mechanical or electrical maintenance within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do
* Support the Engineering Manager and take full managerial responsibility during their absence.
* Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and apprentices to achieve their full potential.
* Develop and maintain an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system to ensure operational efficiency.
* Respond swiftly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimise downtime.
* Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Participate in mechanical and electrical projects, including machine installations, panel upgrades, and effluent plant operations.
What You Will Bring
* An Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering and at least 4 years of engineering experience.
* Proven skills in electrical systems, welding/fabrication, and mechanical fitting.
* Supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to mentor engineers and apprentices.
* Strong fault-finding skills and familiarity with process machinery.
* Initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
