Pay rate: £95 - £115 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Schools in Newcastle and GSL Education are hiring a reliable 1-1 Support assistant to provide dedicated support to individual pupils. This role requires the ability to work 5 days per week.
As a 1-1 Support assistant, you will work closely with a specific student, helping them engage with learning, manage emotions, and complete classroom activities. You will support the pupil’s academic development while promoting confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored one-to-one learning and emotional support.
* Help the pupil stay focused and engaged during lessons.
* Support behaviour and classroom participation.
* Follow guidance from teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff.
* Encourage independence and positive learning habits.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a 1-1 support or similar role.
* A patient, calm, and nurturing approach to working with children.
* Strong communication and behaviour support skills.
* Ability to commit to working 5 days per week.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
