Based at our Portsmouth manufacturing site as the Logistics Administrator youll join the Supply Chain team reporting to the Logistics Team Leader. To be responsible for inbound / receiving, internal material movements, warehousing, outbound / shipping, freight/transport management, cycle counting, inventory management, transactional activities, packaging.You will be proactive, detail orientated and enjoy a busy and fast paced role. The operational hours at our Portsmouth site are: 0 7.30am to 4.15pm Monday to Thursday with every second Friday 07.30am to 4.00pm. We operate a non-working day Free Friday every other Friday. Established in 1990, FPT Portsmouth has a workforce of circa 230 employees. We are now part of the Dart Aerospace Group and the site is a leading technology provider for the aerospace, marine and military markets supplying an extensive range of specialist fuel tanks and flotation systems, as well as engineering expertise and support for fixed and rotary wing aircrafts, land vehicles, missiles, UAVs, torpedoes and marine vessels. Our customer base includes Airbus, BAE Systems, Bell, Boeing, General Automics, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls Royce, Sikorsky, Saab, MOD. Job Responsibilities Ensure safe working environment. Booking of inbound materials to include correct labelling and transactions correctly inputted to the ERP/MRP system. Data entry of Stock counts, liaising with Finance to root cause and support resolve all discrepancies. Carry out stock movement transactions while ensuring all materials are within shelf life. Filing of route cards, CofCs, DGs, Delivery Notes and all other Logistics documentation. Releasing finished goods to customer orders, creating the CofCs for product to be available for delivery. Booking of outbound deliveries to include the data entry for all relevant customer or 3rd party portals. Produce UK and Export invoicing to include all relevant licencing required. Maintain the internal Despatch and Shipping trackers, to include the scanning and uploading of all documentation. Collate and provide detailed information for export compliance. Support as and when required with Forklift and Packing activities How youll contribute To help us make a difference, youll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes: Essential: Good standard of general education to include grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent). Fork Lift Truck Licence. Clean Driving Licence. Previous experience in logistics role preferred. ERP/MRP experience. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines. Excellent organisational and communication skills. A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
