The Role
We’re growing. With that growth comes a clear opportunity. A significant number of our clients are not yet benefiting from managed IT, cybersecurity, or the wider services we can offer. This role exists to close that gap by inheriting an assigned client base, building relationships with their decision‑makers, and using our YourCloud Audit to identify gaps in their technology and security posture. You will present your findings in plain English, qualify each opportunity through our internal sales process, and manage every conversation through to close.
The clients you’ll work with vary from basic environments with obvious gaps to more mature ones, but all share an existing relationship with PCS and a decision‑maker who isn’t a technologist. This is predominantly a farming role, but you will also be expected to contribute to new client acquisition through referrals, self‑generated leads or opportunities that arise from our growth activity.
Responsibilities
* Own the YourCloud Audit process across your client base — scheduling, conducting, and debriefing every audit to a consistent standard
* Convert audit outcomes into commercial proposals for managed IT, cybersecurity and complementary services
* Actively grow MRR within your assigned client base by identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities at every touchpoint
* Work to increase average customer spend across your portfolio by broadening the range of PCS services each client uses
* Contribute to new client acquisition through referrals, self‑generated leads and opportunities arising from our wider growth activity
Client relationships & retention
* Present findings to business owners, MDs and finance directors in plain English, framing risk in terms they actually care about
* Run quarterly strategic business reviews for clients who have expanded their relationship with PCS, maintaining momentum and defining their mid‑to‑long‑term technology roadmap
* Maintain strong relationships across your portfolio to protect and grow recurring revenue — a client who churns is a failure, not just a statistic
* Manage your pipeline in Halo from the first conversation through to signed contract, keeping it accurate at every stage
* Report weekly on pipeline activity, opportunities and MRR won
* Work with our Sales Director, Operations Director and 3rd line engineering team to scope and price accurately
* Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats and the evolving cybersecurity landscape so you can have credible, timely conversations with clients
* Monitor competitor activity within your client base and flag risks to retention early
* Feed wider client intelligence back into the business on emerging concerns and portfolio gaps
What we’re looking for
Experience & skills
* Proven track record in IT or cybersecurity account management
* Extensive B2B sales experience within a technology, security or MSP business
* Demonstrable experience growing revenue from an existing client base — we want to hear about specific clients you’ve developed, not just targets you’ve hit
* The ability to hold credible conversations with non‑technical decision‑makers and translate risk into language they’ll act on
* A disciplined approach to pipeline management — you know where every opportunity is and why
* Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials or cybersecurity fundamentals
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to work field‑based across the Midlands and surrounding areas
* Genuinely target‑driven — you’re motivated by hitting and exceeding numbers, not just activity
* Hungry for success but not at the expense of doing right by the client — you understand that short‑term wins that damage relationships aren’t wins at all
* Comfortable owning your numbers and being held accountable for them every single week
* A naturally customer‑centric approach — you build relationships first and sell second, because you know that works long term
* You treat every client interaction as an opportunity to add value, not just close something
