Designer Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an exceptional, design-led luxury kitchens and home interiors company to recruit an experienced Design Manager for their Oxfordshire location. The Role As Design Manager, you will join a talented and creative team, delivering outstanding design solutions, expert product knowledge, and a truly exceptional client journey.
You will work closely with in-house teams including experienced kitchen fitters, project managers, and the marketing department. A comprehensive induction and training programme will be provided, including brand training and design principles critical to maintaining the companys high standards. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the role combines high-level sales responsibility, hands-on design delivery, and leadership by example.
Key Responsibilities Achieve agreed quarterly and annual sales targets to support continued business growth
Proactively generate new business through networking, referrals, and lead generation
Introduce, develop, and maintain strong relationships with private clients and referrers within the design and build sector
Follow up and convert qualified leads supplied by the marketing department
Design and deliver beautiful, functional, multi-purpose living spaces in line with the brands design principles
Manage the full client journey from initial contact through to completion and aftercare, including:
Client introductions and brief taking
Design concepts and proposals
Pricing, quotations, and closing sales
Detailed technical design and drawings
Ordering, invoicing, and coordination of plumbing and electrical plans
Installation management, snagging, and after-sales support
Prepare CAD-based design presentations and ensure full preparation for client meetings, including:
CAD visuals and technical drawings
Samples, brochures, and colour schemes
Accurate costings and estimates
Produce, review, and sign off plumbing and electrical drawings
Review and approve technical details for the fitting team
Oversee appliance ordering and delivery sign-off
Ensure all post-installation snagging and finishing details are completed to the clients satisfaction
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and installation teams, managing any issues that arise during installation
Be available and contactable throughout the installation phase, understanding that fitting teams may work unsociable hours to meet deadlines
Additional Duties Gain comprehensive knowledge of the companys furniture ranges, fixtures, and finishes
Develop strong working knowledge of appliances and accessories, including those outside preferred supplier ranges
Maintain detailed understanding of all design centres within the business
Act as a brand ambassador and role model for junior team members
Handle telephone and client enquiries professionally
Collaborate with the marketing consultant to secure editorial coverage in interiors press for completed projects
Work one Saturday in every three (this may increase during peak trading periods or if sales targets are under pressure)

Skills & Experience Required Proven track record in sales and developing referral relationships
Strong design capability within luxury kitchens or interiors
CAD design experience
High level of computer literacy
