Youll play a vital role in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient ventilation systems across a critical environment, supporting clinical teams and ensuring essential building services operate effectively.
Key Responsibilities of the HVAC Engineer Carry out fault finding, repairs, and maintenance across ventilation systems within both reactive and planned maintenance environments.
Review room data, design information, and commissioning documentation to ensure ventilation systems meet operational requirements.
Complete room balancing using traverse checking methods and equipment such as bolometers and dampers.
Support the operation and maintenance of ventilation and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems in line with HTM03-01 guidelines.
Carry out mechanical ductwork repairs and assist with Air Handling Unit (AHU) maintenance and repairs.
Conduct proactive inspections and remedial works across mechanical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, and associated building services systems.
Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately within the CAFM / maintenance management systems.
Maintain high standards of workmanship while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements of the HVAC Engineer NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Proven experience as an M&E maintenance engineer within building services or HVAC environments.
Strong fault-finding ability and the capability to work both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team. xsngvjr
