Application Support Engineer - FinTech - £120K
Our client is a growing financial technology (FinTech) firm based in new offices in central Newcastle.
They develop innovative, in-house software for algo trading, investment, and asset management firms worldwide, and are expanding their Application and Support Engineering team.
This role involves client-facing support across the business, supporting complex trading applications with 2nd and 3rd line support.
You will collaborate closely with Development, Quant, and DevOps teams to implement improvements, manage code deployments, and drive automation.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar Application Support or Support Engineering role
* Ability to support demanding clients, manage application releases, and troubleshoot issues
* Experience in FinTech, Financial Services, and/or SaaS
* Coding skills for bug fixing and troubleshooting
* Experience supporting and enhancing applications
* SQL knowledge
* Experience with monitoring and automation
* Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud (Azure) is a plus
* Strong academic background (top university, excellent A Levels, etc.)
